June Month-end Summary

  • New Santa Clara County cases have increased dramatically during the month of May, from 29 cases on June 1 to 105 June 30, and 202 on July.
  • New Santa Clara County deaths have hovered near zero with an average of .5 per day over most of the month. The fact that the death count has remained low while the number of cases and number of hospitalization have gone way up is an indication to me that the medical profession has gotten better at treating serious cases.
  • Santa Clara hospitalization count has gone from 46 to 72 over the course of June, almost doubling.
  • California new cases per day have almost tripled during the month of June.
  • The number of new deaths in California has been pretty constant across the month of June.
  • US Cases per day have doubled over the month of June. US new deaths per day has drifter down over the same period. This reinforces my theory that doctors are getting better at curing severe cases.
