I am now retired.

Previous employers:

  • Roku working on testing automation for set-top boxes and streaming sticks, smart TVs and speakers.
  • Apple working on testing the Maps application.
  • Lab 126 (a subsidiary of Amazon) where I worked on the Kindle,  Fire Tablet, and the Echo.
  • VMware where I worked on test automation for the Volume Manager.
  • VERITAS where I worked on The Volume Manager
  • MS2 (acquired by Agile) †
  • Sun Microsystems (Now part of Oracle) where I worked on clustering software in the Solaris group.
  • Tandem Computers (now part of HP) where I worked on file systems and system management
  • Calma † (Acquired by GE) where I worked on communication software (“CalmaNet”).  I also worked in Japan for two years attached to GEIAL (General Electric Automation Limited) as a technical liaison to Calma.
  • Bank of America
  • I actually worked for BofA three times:  (1) on the BankAmericard Data Entry project; (2) as an applications support person; (3) as a system programmer working on VM/370 and especially RSCS (Remote Spooling Communications System).
  • John Breuner Company † where I was an IBM systems programmer.
  • Mason McDuffie Company
  • where I was an applications programmer working on loan servicing, and later as a systems programmer working on IBM DOS.
  • Alton Associates † where I was a contract programmer, assigned first to Western Pacific Railroad, and later to Pacific Telephone.
  • U.S. Army where I was first a Morse Code Intercept Operator; and later as a computer programmer.
