- In Santa Clara County, the number of new cases went down throughout the month. The number of deaths per day rose very slightly. The number of people hospitalized generally fell slightly. The number of people visiting hospital emergency departments for Covid sent up and down somewhat, but ended the month lower than at the start.
- In the state of California, the number of new cases fell significantly throughout the month and ended at a level only half that of the start of the month. Likewise, deaths fell throughout the month and also ended up at half the value they had at the start.
- The U.S. followed a similar trend with new cases dropping throughout the month to only half of what they were at the start. On the other hand deaths rose substantially at the end of the month, due largely to a large jump on the last day of the month, perhaps due to a data correction of some sort.
