Announcement
The County of Santa Clara apparently no longer tracking covid cases. As of May 12, the State of California still is; this may stop after their scheduled web-site maintenance on May 13. I’ll check and update. The CDC has announced that they have stopped reporting data as of May 11.
For these reasons I have decided to stop updating this page. The last update is for May 5 as seen below. My decision to stop is, of course, subject to change if the situation changes.
Summary for This Week

NOTE: All comparisons to past data above are based on a 7-day rolling average in an attempt to correct for data spikes caused by uneven data collection, or other data corrections.
- The May 5 data on the Santa Clara County web site has smaller numbers than previously reported. For that reason we will continue reporting the previous data until the total “catches up”.
