Amazon/Lab 126

Lab 126 is the name of an organization that is a subsidiary of Amazon in Silicon Valley. It produces the electronic devices that are branded and sold by Amazon, including the Kindle, Fire Tablet, Echo, etc. Actually I worked on all three of those, mostly the e-ink version of the Kindle. (In the case of the Echo, it had not been released yet, and wasn't told what the nature of the device was.)

 

I had a desktop PC, running Linux. We were able to connect to the device we were testing using USB. (The details are confidential.)
